Lake Norman Master Bath

Lake Norman Master Bath

Not all master bath remodels require complex redesigns. For this couple, the overall layout worked well, but the enclosed shower made them feel claustrophobic and the limited air circulation was leading to moisture problems. To update the look and functionality of their lake house master bath, all the plumbing fixtures remained in their existing locations.

The large deck mounted tub was replaced with a freestanding soaking tub with a smaller footprint, opening up the visual space. The vanities in this lake house master bath were redesigned to include two towers for additional storage. The rose gold pendant lights reflecting in the framed mirrors offer an unexpected touch of warmth to the otherwise cool-toned color palette.

An empty nook behind what was a completely closed in, cave-like shower provided floor space for a quartz bench seat. The mitered edges give the illusion that itโ€™s a solid stone bench, and the contrasting gray provides visual weight to that side of the bathroom. The quartz bench paired with the stacked tile and geometric fixtures lends a contemporary look to this otherwise traditionally inspired bathroom. The adjustable hand shower was conveniently located next to the bench for shaving, while the fixed head and shampoo niche took up the far end.

โ€œReVision Design/Remodeling renovated our master bathroom. We enjoyed having ReVision as our direct contact while they communicated with individual workers during each phase. Our project manager kept our project on schedule and listened and responded quickly to any concernsโ€ฆ The project was completed with no disruption to our home or our personal schedules. Thank you to all the skilled craftspeople who worked on the project!โ€

Transitional Style

This master bath doesnโ€™t have the typical lake house vibe. Our clients wanted something classic and elegant, but with a few unexpected elements. The large format porcelain tiles have a striking resemblance to real marble, but without the extra maintenance or additional cost. Installing them in a stacked pattern, gives the bathroom a more modern feel.ย

Traditionally styled cabinet hardware, crystal doorknobs and cabinetry paired with the contemporary plumbing fixtures and rose gold pendant lights, make this lake house master bath truly transitional.
